Rehabilitation stay for children – CIMT
What does the stay look like?
CIMT (Constraint- Induced Movement Therapy)is a method intended for children using one upper limb - e.g. children with hemiplegia. It consists in excluding the dominant limb from use by means of an orthosis or plaster, and active stimulation of the functionally weaker hand. During the therapy, play is used to motivate the child to work with a limp hand.
What are the aims of the stay?
- Learning to use the functionally weaker upper limb;
- Grip quality improvement;
- Learning to work with both hands;
- Increasing muscle strength and power;
- Increasing the mobility of joints;
- Increasing superficial and deep sensation, building body awareness;
- Home instruction;
- Help in choosing the right orthopedic equipment.

Details of the stay:
- 2 hours of functional therapy
- 1h of hand therapy
Organizational matters:
We request to take with you: appropriate footwear, certificate of disability, medical documentation and up-to-date X-ray and ultrasound photos, etc.
